Personal information

Generally

Personal information is any kind of information that may be attributed to you to some extent. When you use our website, we collect and process a variety of such information. This happens for example by ordinary access to content, if you sign up for our newsletter, participate in competitions or surveys, register yourself as a user or subscriber, otherwise use of services or make purchases through the website.

We typically collect and process the following types of information: A unique ID and technical information about your computer, tablet or mobile phone, your IP address, geographic location, and which pages you click (interests).

To the extent that you explicitly consent to this and even enter the information, you will also be treated: Name, phone number, email, address and payment information. This will typically be associated with the creation of login or purchase.

Comments

When visitors write comments on the website, we collect the data shown in the comment form and also the visitor’s IP address and browser’s user agent string to help detect spam.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) can be delivered to the Gravatar service to see if you are using this. After approval of your comment, your profile picture will be visible to the public along with your comment.

Media

All images uploaded on the site will be cleaned for embedded location data (EXIF, GPS etc.). As a result, site visitors can not download and extract location data from images on the site.

Contact Forms

When visitors use the contact form on the website, name, e-mail, IP-number, and the message written are saved. The entered data – filtered for sensitive information – is sent as e-mail notifications to the website owner and the visitor who completed the form. The entries will be permanently deleted after 30 days and will not be used for marketing unless consent is given.

Security

We have taken technical and organizational measures against the fact that your information is accidentally or illegally deleted, published, lost, impaired or comes to the knowledge of a person, misused or otherwise treated in violation of the law.

Purpose

The information is used to identify you as a user and show you the ads that are most likely to be relevant to you, to register your purchases and payments, and to provide the services you have requested, such as to send a newsletter. In addition, we use the information to optimize our services and content.

Period of storage

The information is kept for the time allowed by law and we delete them when they are no longer necessary. The period depends on the nature of the information and the background for storage. Therefore, it is not possible to specify a general timeframe for when information is deleted.

Disclosure of information

Data about your use of the website, which ads you receive and, if any, Click, Geographic Location, Gender, and Age Segments etc., is disclosed to third parties to the extent that this information is known.

Information about pages visited on the website is sent to Google (Google Analytics). When you play a video, information is also sent to Vimeo or YouTube. When you sign up for the newsletter, your data is processed by a third party, but is not disclosed. We handle and send out our newsletters via MailChimp.

In addition, we use a number of third parties to store and process data. These only deal with information on our behalf and may not be used for their own purposes.

Disclosure of personal information such as name and e-mail, etc. will only happen if you consent to it. We only use data processors in the EU or in countries that can provide your information with adequate protection.

Your rights

As a customer, we treat your information as part of an agreement. It basically gives you the following rights:

  • Insight and Correction: You can contact us and ask for insight into the personal information we process, as well as request that they be corrected if they are incorrect. You may also object to the use of information at any time.
  • Deleting: As a customer, you can ask for deletion of the data about you. We can only delete the data that is not required for the maintenance of the agreement, as well as data we are not required to process in accordance with applicable law.
  • Data portability: You are entitled to obtain the personal information you have provided us in a machine-readable format.

How to correct your inquiry

If you request a request for insight, it is important for us that we do not provide your personal information to anyone other than you. Therefore, we must be able to verify that you are actually the person you give up to be.
